the netsend-service is deactivated within xp for a good reason. there are many viruses, using netsend to take command of your pc. i just wanted to tell so everyone knows what makes the system going down. its simple but its also a great matter for security.

You can use a wildcard to send to all clients within a network. For example, if you want have about 2 or more computers at home then you can quote the following:

net send * hello

In this case, the * is the wildcard which will distribute the message to everyone in the household

PS: Cool tutorial!

Peace Out!

Thank you, this is perfect for me. I hate all those message programs. This is awesome now I can get a quick message out to my other computers with out having to load software and waiting to connect-I now can do it in under a 30 seconds. Thanks a lot!

Hi vf
You are right. But I wan't to install a new special software and I have set up a Static IP and firewall enabled on all of the computers on my network.

I ‘ll try your solution if I found the problem about net send spam.

Thanks for your comment.

It is bad idea to enable Messenger service. Did you hear about net send spam?

It is better to try 3td party tools, like this on for example:
