| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Arduino Mega is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega1280. It has 54 digital input/output pins (of which 14 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started. The Mega is compatible with most shields designed for the Arduino Duemilanove or Diecimila.

| Customer Reviews: I heart mega March 24, 2010 Karl Lew (CA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've has sooooooo much fun with my Arduinos (yes, I have several). The original Arduinos are tiny, and my stack often smashed into my variables. But now! The MEGA is here! We have more memory, folks! And so many pins!
NOTE: The MEGA pinout differs slightly from previous Arduinos. You may need to change your existing software to work with the MEGA.
It's not a toy... July 19, 2009 R. Blais (Fernley, NV USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a full fledged development platform. Get this, the Arduino book:Getting Started with Arduino (Make: Projects), a breadboard, some LED's, wire jumpers, and start playing. The possibilities are limitless.
