| Customer Reviews: LowPricesRUS sells Counterfeit Beats by Dr. Dre Tour High-Resolution In-Ear Headphones from Monster September 5, 2010 David Perez (San Diego, CA, US) LowPricesRUS - is a company that was reported to the FBI for selling counterfeit Beats by Dr. Dre Tour High-Resolution In-Ear Headphones from Monster. We called Monster they do not have this vendor as an authorized vendor and when we discovered the packing was bogus and no serial number card -as well as the unit fell apart after 2 days, the plug came out of the connector (cable frayed) and the stickers fell off both sides. I am really surprised Amazon allows counterfeit items to be sold through their store. Very sad but true, my respects and admiration for amazon allowing a vendor to not post a any contact telephone number, name, address or a valid return policy is shameful. I am reporting Amazon and LowePriceRUS to the Better Business Bureau today. I am still waiting for my refund and money and an apology letter from Amazon for the 5 hours of my time I spent trying to contact Amazon who informed us we need to call LowePriceRUS directly to get no money back (that was pretty tough since they could not get us a telephone number)I call this a circle jerk....
I think I will get a class action suit prepared to stop vendors like Amazon, Yahoo and Ebay from allowing these deceptive practices from continuing. With all the money they have they should know better to screen all vendors and products before selling through items through their web site and adhere to a standard uniform return policy with hefty penalties for selling counterfeit items. If they don't have time to do that then they need to simply post a bond or escrow an equal dollar amount of the total monthly sales volume. How many of you have been duped like me? if you have a similar story to share and want to join a class action law suit email at: ultra_lunar@hotmail.com

BEWARE, COUNTERFEIT!! August 27, 2010 Ali AlHashimi (Qatar) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
* UPDATE, September 9 2010
THESE HEADPHONES ARE COUNTERFEIT. ALONG WITH THE BOSE OE HEADPHONES I PURCHASED FROM THE SAME SELLER "ARTMART".
I have removed my previous "negative" review after finding out the product is a counterfeit, since to be fair i do not know know what the "REAL" headphones sound like or compare to.
Many factors give away that theyre fake/counterfeit:
1. the sound is worse that the standard Apple iPod headphones, MUCH MUCH worse
2. the build quality is terrible. From connectors, wires, the ornamental parts etc.
3. the packaging is a give away, honestly i only noticed it today! It seems as if was color photocopied! Whats worse, when you open the red box with the magnetic tab, the inside flap should say "sound matters", mine said "sound mattes"!!!!! For Gods sake if youre going to counterfeit something atleast make sure youre spelling is correct!!!!
Watch this youtube clip that highlights the real vs. counterfeit models:

Like other buyers, i am very disappointed that Amazon allows counterfeits to be sold through its Marketplace. Its understandable that it is difficult to screen everyone and everything being sold, but in this case, there should be a SOLID buyer protection program. Ebay is doing a good job with that. Amazon is solid when it comes to purchasing products directly sold by them, but they dont seem to care when you shop from their Marketplace. If youve gone past the sellers return policy, they just tell you to advertise it and sell it again! At the end of the day, its my fault and i shouldve known better buying such a "bargain". I hate buying from Ebay due to the countless shameful selling activities going on. Unfortunately, Amazon is really catching up!

i compared these to the ones my roommate just got from best buy and these are either fakes or the ones from best buy are fakes but made alot better. these sound identical to my skull candy in ear head phones and feel very cheap, im curious to see how long they last, defiantly not worth even $30-40
